About Anoushka
Author, Clarinetist, Educator
Anoushka Divekar (she/her/hers) is a first-generation Indian-American clarinetist and educator, driven by a deep passion for music and a commitment to social justice. Her musical journey began at an early age, nurtured by supportive mentors who inspired her dual passions for performing and teaching.

Currently pursuing a Doctor of Music degree in Clarinet at Indiana University’s Jacobs School of Music, Anoushka studies under esteemed faculty, including Professor Gabor Varga, Dr. David Shea, Professor Daniel Silver, and Dr. Christine Bellomy. She has appeared as a soloist at the Jacobs School of Music and performs with distinguished ensembles such as the South Asian Symphony Orchestra, the virtual Dad Village Symphony Orchestra, and regional symphonies.

Anoushka is the creator of Clarinet Chronicles, a groundbreaking method book featuring compositions by living and historically marginalized musicians, designed to inspire novice clarinetists. She is deeply committed to expanding representation in classical music by highlighting the works of BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and women composers, leveraging her platform to challenge systemic inequities in the arts.
With a vision to unite performance and pedagogy, Anoushka aspires to create a lasting impact by fostering inclusion and innovation in the world of music.
