Claire Gunsbury
Website Designer
Flutist Claire Gunsbury is a versatile performer, teacher, arts administrator, and website designer with an appetite for novelty and nuance. As an orchestral flutist, Claire is the Principal Piccolo of the Johnstown Symphony Orchestra and performs with the Pittsburgh Opera, Erie Philharmonic, Akron Symphony, and Westmoreland Symphony. She is the recipient of the 2023 National Flute Association’s Young Artist Competition “Best Performance of a Newly Commissioned Work,” and is always looking for opportunities to collaborate with living composers. When Anoushka reached out to her to help with this project, it was an easy yes! Claire’s other website work includes projects for musicians, non-profits, and small music businesses.

Equally at home onstage and behind the scenes, Claire is the co-founder and Program Director of Lullaby Project Pittsburgh, an organization that connects expecting parents with songwriters to write personal lullabies for their babies.
Claire also loves to teach, and has a studio of in-person and online flute students of all ages. You can learn more about her and her flute studio at clairegunsbury.com.

Claire holds a Master of Music in Flute Performance from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance, a Bachelor of Music in Musicology, and a Certificate in Music Entrepreneurship from the University of Colorado Boulder.
